Honouring Indigenous Lands and Peoples
We respectfully acknowledge that we live, work, and serve on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of many Indigenous Nations across what is now called Canada. These lands have been cared for by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples since time immemorial.
As settlers and as firefighters committed to public service, we recognize our responsibility to learn from the original stewards of these lands and to uphold values of respect, safety, and equity in the communities we serve.
We honour the diverse Indigenous Peoples who continue to live on and protect these lands, and we are committed to building relationships grounded in truth, reconciliation, and meaningful action.
